We’re on a Mission to Save More Lives
At Longmont Humane Society we are paving the way for animal shelters across the country. Our unique approach goes beyond providing food and shelter: We understand that each animal comes with a unique story, personality, and sometimes, challenges. That’s why we’ve invested in a team of experts who specialize in understanding animal behavior, creating tailored training plans, and nurturing the emotional and psychological needs of homeless pets.
We share our successful programs with shelter teams from across the country. Through educating other shelters on effective rehabilitation strategies, we collectively save more lives than our facility could rescue alone.
With your help, we can reach more shelters and save more homeless animals.
Longmont Humane Society stands out among animal shelters in our unwavering commitment to the holistic well-being of every furry resident – we do not euthanize for space or behavior issues, except in very extreme cases – over 98% of all animals who enter our care find their way into happy, loving homes, (well over the national average). Driven by the belief that every animal deserves a second chance and a loving home, we help other shelters improve their ability to save more animals through behavior training and enrichment programs.
From shy kittens to boisterous pups, our behavior and training team works tirelessly to address anxiety, fear, and any behavioral issues that might hinder these animals from finding their forever families. Through positive reinforcement, patience, and personalized care, we transform their lives and set them on the path to becoming beloved companions.
The majority of our operational funding comes directly from donors. As a not-for-profit organization, all gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Our Tax ID# 84-0645455. We are a 501 (c)(3) organization and our policy is to never sell, rent or trade our donors’ personal information to any other entity. Give with confidence! Longmont Humane Society has the highest rating on Charity Navigator and GuideStar.
