We adopted Nicholas (now NIKO) on Jan 24, 2025. We volunteer walking dogs on Tuesdays, which is when we spotted Nicholas. We came back on Friday to walk a few other dogs, but decided Nicholas was the one!

Niko is such a wonderful dog! He is eager to please, doesn’t pull on a leash, no loud barking, no digging, loves to play with dogs and kids, although since he is still a puppy, he likes shoes, cords, and paper!

He now has a fenced yard, doggy door, and gets 2 walks a day as well as play dates with our sons’ dogs. We had his DNA tested through Embark. Niko is 46% Siberian Husky, 26% Australian Cattle Dog, 17% German Shepherd, 11% Pit Bull Terrier.
