We were looking for a friend for our cat Theo after he lost his brother. We saw “Hocus” (now named Carlita) on the website and decided to meet her. As soon as we saw her we fell in love. She was perfect.

We brought her home and realized how shy she was and that she really didn’t know how to “cat”. She would spend the majority of her days hiding. We were told that she had spent all but 3 months of her life on the streets. After about 2 months she began to adjust to her new life indoors and her personality came out.

She was crazy! Initially, Theo did not care for his new sister’s antics. However, after a month or so he began to warm up to her and started teaching her how to “cat”. Carlita absolutely adores her big brother and we think he is beginning to like her too. She brings so much joy to our lives.

She has the sweetest meow and her tail is always straight up. She is such a happy kitty. She spends most of her days running around the house crawling up her cat tree, playing with toys and terrorizing her brother. She is now less fearful of humans and seeks out attention from human visitors. We are so grateful to be have her in our life.
