Longmont Humane Society, a Socially Conscious Shelter, provides temporary shelter to thousands of animals every year. Available Positions
Individual Giving Coordinator
Full-time, $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 annually
The Individual Giving Coordinator is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with mid-level and major donors to support the mission and programs of the Longmont Humane Society. This position will focus on building strong, long-term donor relationships, securing significant contributions, and working closely with donors to align their philanthropic goals with the organization’s priorities.
Volunteer Coordinator Assistant
Part-time, $16.75 per hour
The Assistant Volunteer Coordinator helps direct the LHS volunteer program for all volunteers, including those who work directly with the animals, those who assist with administrative tasks and special events, retail store, departmental, and youth volunteers. The Assistant Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Shelter Manager.
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Full-time, $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
This position is responsible for a variety of duties, including: pre- and post- surgical care, monitoring anesthesia, administering medication, doing lab work, performing dentals, and operating digital radiology equipment.
Our ideal RVT will be comfortable performing pre-surgical exams, anesthetic drug preparation, as well as monitoring and managing anesthesia with input from our Veterinarians. Our new RVT will be motivated, able to work independently and support the philosophy and decisions of the organization while being effective in a fast-paced team environment, respectful to other clinic team members, and sincerely compassionate with both clients and patients. This position reports to a Shelter Manager or the Well Pet Clinic Manager.
Client Care Team Member
$15.75 per hour
Client Care Team Members demonstrate high quality customer service while interacting with clients, actively promoting adoptions and facilitating animal intakes while following protocols, demonstrating excellent critical thinking, and consistently paying attention to detail. This position reports to the Shelter Manager.
